Suzi Perry Backs Campaign To Introduce Motorcycle Awareness In Car Driving Theory Tests

Ex-MotoGP presenter Suzi Perry is one of a handful of celebrities who have backed a campaign to introduce motorcycle related questions into the car driving theory test in the United Kingdom.

Suzi, along with retired racer James Toseland and riders  Cal Crutchlow and Scott Redding, are backing the Bennetts Insurance led campaign to help raise awareness of bikers on Britain’s roads. Statistics show that motorcyclists are at a 61 times greater risk of a casualty than motorists and helping to educate car drivers will hopefully improve road safety.

What would be nice is if all car drivers completed CBT training to realise how vulnerable motorcyclists are when on the road with motorists, some of whom are oblivious to those on two wheels.

The petition is a step in the right direction for highlighting the dangers we encounter through ignorance on the roads and currently there are over 30,000 signatures. For the issue to be discussed in the House of Commons, the petition needs 100,000 signatures so please do your bit and sign the petition here.
