RST only uses full-grain Cowhide that offers excellent abrasion and tear strength. Each hide is visually inspected and batch tested before selection by one of their in-house craftsmen. The suit has 4-way stretch material with leather motion panels for additional comfort, along with a removable comfort mesh inner lining. To keep the rider cool in warmer weather, perforated Leather has been used for ventilation.For rider protection, this suit has CE level 2 Hip armour along with a CE level 1 Back protector with Shoulder, Elbow and Knee armour. The Shoulder cups have been made with TPU, and due to the high level of protection offered, this suit has been awarded CE Certification of AAA rating. This is the highest level, demanding four seconds of abrasion resistance with the machine spinning at 707.4rpm (the equivalent of 120km/h) in Zone 1 (Shoulders, Elbows, Hips and Knees), two seconds at 442.1rpm (about 75km/h) in Zone 2 (outer arms, torso, legs and feet) and one second at 265rpm (around 45km/h) in Zone 3 (inner arms, torso and legs).Additional features include a leather race collar and rolled leather cuffs for additional comfort, an aerodynamic race hump which will provide stability for the rider at higher speeds, and standard Knee sliders in Matte are included.
